THE PORT CITY OF HAIFA has been home to Arabs and Jews living and working alongside each other for centuries. In this spirit of co-existence, close friends and seasoned restaurateurs from both Palestinian and Jewish backgrounds, Fadi Hakim, Waseem Dabdoub, Mark Kupfert, Yossi Mizrachi Eastwood and Daniel Suss came together to open the Haifa Room in Toronto in 2021. 2 years later they ventured to Vancouver, to open a grander, more elevated love-letter to the cuisine they grew up with. It is called HAIFA.

CHEF JASON HEMI previously sous chef at Rose and Sons and Fat Pasha in Toronto, moved to Vancouver to bring this culinary experience to life.  Chef Hemi is excited to introduce you to his specialities, such as his famous house hummus, loaded eggplant and shipud skewer.  Come sit at his chef’s table, where he will cook right in front of you. and likely join you in a conversation!
